Math 10 - Today we reviewed finding the amount of Canadian Dollars when we know the amount of foreign currency.  We set it up two ways:  as a proportion and using the index cards that we made.

Some students owe back work and I provided a list.  These need to be showed to me before Mid Term Day (Thurs. Oct. 27) in order to get mark for it on the report card.

We started a new unit today.  It is chapter 2 in our textbook (all students have their own textbooks now).  This unit will look at getting work pay.  We talked about different ways of getting paid, (hourly, commission, salary, etc) and we learned to read a pay slip.  Students are working on finding explanations of the 11 key terms at the beginning of the chapter.  We will be going through this unit much faster than the last unit.

Our Trip Project (exchange rates) is due on Thursday. It is worth marks!

Tech 10 - We are starting a new Module (today is Day 1).  Anyone that didn't get their previous module evaluated has 3 days (on their own time) before the school late assignment policy takes effect and marks are deducted (as outlined in the student stuagenda).

Computer Applications - Students are working on unit 2 or 3.  If you are behind, you should be putting in extra time.  Overall, the work handed in has been very well done.  Check my marksheet to see what you have done and marked.
