Students are required to guage their progress so they get an adequate amount of work done for the assessment on day 10. The Tech Room is open Monday, Wed, and Thurs. at lunch time and every day after school so the teams of 2 can come in and work. Occassionally, I will post what day we are on in our rotation on this blog so parent will know where we are in the cycle.
Workplace Math - Grade 11 - Students are working to apply slope/pitch to real life situations. This is Ch. 6 in the textbook.
Math - Numbers, Relations & Functions - Grade 10 - This is a pre-calculus course that will help students to decide which math course path to take in grades 11 & 12. It is a fairly challenging course that requires students to stay on top of things and get extra help when they need it (Extra Help - Tuesday after school).
After the first week of review and pre-testing, we have started Chapter 3 in our text; Factors and Products. Tonight for homework students need to study the divisibility rules for 2-6, 9, 10 & 12. They have a practice sheet to do.
GAD (Graphic Art & Design) - Grade 11 & 12 - This course will examine a variety of aspects of design. It will be a project based learning experience. Assessment will be as follows:
Digital & Hand drawn portfolio items and written assignments = 80%
Final Exam = 20%
